The KYB SSS Twin Chamber forks found on Yamaha, Honda, and Kawasaki feature a plastic floating pressure piston that commonly cracks and breaks resulting in a very poor performing fork. A more detailed analysis of this can be read here at the Fork Free Piston Technical Guide. The SDI Elite KYB Fork Free Piston Set is the best replacement and upgrade option.
