Product Description

Fork Cartridge Seal

  • Seals around the cartridge damper rod
    • Anytime you have a seal sliding over a surface it will eventually wear and fail
  • This is the high quality OEM seal replacement
  • Allows the fork cartridge to properly build internal pressure
  • Bad fork cartridge seals drastically decrease fork performance and are UNSAFE!
  • See the video below showing what a bad cartridge seal does
  • KYB, Showa, and WP twin chamber forks
  • Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, and Yamahas
  • Most dealers do not list this as a part but instead will try to sell you a complete cartridge cylinder
  • Customers often send in just the fork cartridge for a JBI Fork Cartridge Rebuild
  • Ride JBI procures suspension parts directly from the OEM giving our customers the best price possible

***Comes with seal and backup seal

  1. Helpful & informative

Posted by YamahaPete on 10th Apr 2013

A few days before a big race at my local district I decided to freshen up my forks with new seals, bushings, and oil. Well to my dismay I found both cartridges were toast and no longer sealing. I was in a panic as I searched the web until I found the YouTube video JBI posted and then their website. After speaking with the owner JB for a while he was able to give me some advice on the cartridge rebuild process and ship the seals out same day. Lucky for me, he said the KYB forks are a lot easier to rebuild then the Showas because of some manufacturing differences. Anyways the parts arrived on time and I everything went together perfect.
